Farmers in the United Kingdom have used tractors to mow mazes into their corn fields.
Used tractors are good for all kinds of tasks, including paying tribute to a country.
A number of mazes have been cut in the United Kingdom to honor the 70 year anniversary of the Battle of Britain, when German planes began to harass the island nation during World War II. For example, Graham Wasworth created the image of a British Spitfire airplane chasing down a Messerschmitt 109 in 10 acres of corn in Sedgwick.
Meanwhile, the Yorkshire Post reported that a similar scene was painted by Tom Pearcy, and allowed Battle of Britain veteran Terry Clark take a sneak peek at it.
"I'm delighted to be able to make my contribution to mark the 70th anniversary of the Battle of Britain, and to pay tribute to the brave airmen, 'the few', like Terry Clark, who in a unique battle for the skies helped keep this country safe," Pearcy told the U.K. newspaper.
Corn mazes are also rather common in the United States, which often sees them featured during the fall harvesting months in farming communities.
