South Dakota fair to feature John Deere farm equipment

An Aberdeen, South Dakota fair will feature several tractor pulls, a blacksmith demonstration and a street dance as part of the annual celebration the town celebrates, according to Aberdeen News.

The 23rd annual Rosholt Area Threshing Bee will be held at the fairgrounds and will feature a parade of used farm equipment that will treat visitors to a history of the area's connection with agriculture, reported the news source.

A John Deere line of farm equipment will be featured in the Sunday parade, as the agricultural giant has been chosen as the brand that will be at the front of the procession. The event will wind its way through the town until it reaches Heritage Hall, where guests will be treated to demonstrations along with a street dance that will feature the Roosters dance team, the news source reported.

The tractor enthusiasts will then participate in a tractor pull, as onlookers will be treated to the raw power of the machines, according to the Aberdeen News.

A collection of tractor and farm equipment enthusiasts, the Rusholt Area Thresherman's Association was founded in 1988, according to the organization's website.
